Comfortable cat bed

Whenever we buy new pillows, we use old featherpillows for our cat's sleeping baskets. On top of the pillow I put large cotton towel that I wash at least once a week. Bed is always clean that way.
When cats have their own comfortable beds, they don't sleep on a couch or on our bed.
We haven't used commercial flea products on our cats for at least 7 years and we haven't had problems with fleas. If you keep cats bed clean by changing a towel every 3 days in summertime, fleas from cat's fur won't have a chance to multiply. Chemical free flea and parasite prevention.

My cat sleeps under the covers in my bed or in a basket on an electric pad made just for cats. Soon I will build her a beautiful canopy bed with the heated pad and down pillows. She loves the heating pad.

@1971SuperLead That sounds nice, I was thinking about making a canopy bed also, cats seem to need extra warmth during winter months, that's why they hide under covers.

Just got my cat from the adoption centre today and hes hiding behind the washing machine lol, he lets me stroke him though :)

@leMeow1 Cats also love high places. Maybe it's instinct for them to seek the safety of high places, but it could be because it's simply warmer nearer the ceiling of a home. As we speak my cat in sleeping inside my subzero rated down coat. It's 70 degrees in my bedroom, but still she is seeking serious warmth. The lions in Africa could have moved to colder climates, but they seem to appreciate the ridiculous heat. It's a rare event my cat looks for a cool location. She likes it warm!
