On August 6, the Young Communist League remembers the first nuclear bomb, dropped by US imperialism, and calls out to the youth of the world to pick-up the cause of peace and justice, and redouble our efforts for disarmament and the end to nuclear weapons.

On August 6, 1945 the United States used an atomic bomb to kill more than 80,000 people in Hiroshima, Japan, a number that increased to 200,000 by 1950 because of the continuing effects of radiation.

  • Oh, don't cry... they fucking earned it.

The japs raped and murdered more civilians in Nanking than people were inconvenienced by that small bomb.

  • The most bad thing is that USA continue with his terrorism :(

  • @MasterJediDude Hm, I can see you're not very rational nor co-operative. I guess I can see I'm wasting my time here with someone who is nothing more than an ignorant Couch Potato who has no idea what war and genocide is like. Maybe you've been watching too many Hollywood movies. But hey, you seem like the kind of person that must understand these things the hard way so there's no point arguing with an insensitive, disgraceful Jerk like you.

  • @11strelokfan1000 Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah... That's all you're saying. Occupied Japan? Please...go read a book. A history book. Moron.

  • @MasterJediDude I bet any right-wingers would like to kick me out cos I'm 'Un-American', and no I don't live there. Exactly what has that got to do with a 60-year-old attrocity? I'm afraid you're the one who is ignorant; I know that Japan was helped rebuilt, but it was occupied as a result. No one wants to admit that Nukes are among the WORST mankind creations. Had the Cold War turned violent, nukes would destroy the world. Maybe your own butt should be kicked for disregarding these dead people?

  • @11strelokfan1000 Streklofan, you need to read your f*cking history, pal. The U.S. helped rebuild Japan after the war was over. You've been reading too many liberal books. The idea that the U.S. would "make amends" for dropping the bombs just shows your ignorance. What are you, 12 years old? And if you're an American, this American would like to kick your sorry butt out of my country.

  • You idiots are totally out of your freaking minds. Japan caused more atrocities across the Pacific than any other country. They murdered MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of civilians while expanding their empire. They masacred people all through China and Southeast Asia. They outright attacked the Americans, hoping the brutal sneak attack on Pearl Harbor would keep them out of the war. And they WOULD NOT SURRENDER when they were beaten. That is why the U.S. dropped the bombs. To stop the war.

  • this is the worst act of terrorism committed by an govt, group, or organization

  • war is war. neither side wins.

  • I'm sick of hearing all that bullshit saying "Hey, it ended World War 2.". In the end of the day, so many innocent lives were lost and many others permanently scarred. I never saw any even small amends made by the government for such horrific damage to these two cities. That stuff about "We fight for peace" don't work with me anymore.
