A #1 hit for George Olsen and His Music in April 1926, #1 for Vincent Lopez in May 1926 and #3 for Henry Burr in May 1926. Written by Irving Berlin. Also recorded by Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan, Billy Eckstine, Johnny Tillotson, Guy Lombardo, Patsy Cline, Billie Holiday, and many others.

This photo ALWAYS cracks me up becuase the mustache's on Bill Kenny and Charlie Fuqua are drawn on! The original photo they dont have mustaches but I think later in the early to mid 40's they used this press photo with the drawn on mustaches. This isn't the best example but when you look at this photo up close you can tell. Thanks for sharing by the way!

Made me idly wonder when a record first featured a spoken verse for effect like this record does in the middle verse? Offhand, I can't think of one from the cylinder era; but it's certainly continued to be a pop muisc feature over the decades...

@ThePeaceableKingdom It's great to hear from you again, I've really missed your comments! You have posed a very interesting question. I don't know the answer, but the earliest recording I can think of, in my collection, with a spoken middle section is "I'm All Alone in A Palace of Stone" by Annette Hanshaw, which is from around 1927.
