Its really hard to understand why people choose to follow the bible even though it advocates child Murder, Rape, torture,genocide, incest, tyranny,mass slaughter of innocent people, slavery, killing pregnant women,mutilation, child molestation, infanticide, intolerance, racism,hate, human sacrifice and much more.... Luckily 99% of christians don't follow the bible to a t because if they did there would be a shitload murders, rapes and a lot of chaos in the world.

So this young snot nose must think that the other 98% of evangelicals got it all wrong, and he now has to come along and be the one that has to correct those older and wiser theologians who have spent much more time studying the Bible than he has. This Dudley has a lot to learn.

The Bible is an enlightening book on morals. It doesn't matter if you believe in God or not, but we should agree in something basic: the Bible is human made. Today it's clear that the Bible is a recolection of semitic miths -whose principal characters have been transformed into jews- edited in times of the roman empire. The typical primitive miths that explain the origin of the world and the foundations of morals in a magical way. So literal interpretations are not correct.

but i agree, they quote the bible like pulling fortune cookies from a hat and never really READ the thing.

it supposedly is abomination, but so is eating pork, seafood, etc.. or any foods that TOUCHED pork, seafood, etc or the utensils they were cooked in.

and paul (saul) never even MET jesus.. he came along after, but he wrote most of the currently accepted new testament.

"Why focus on homosexuality?" Why? Probably got something to do with the fact that they're so vocal these days about their lifestyle. Y'know? Like, the squeekiest wheel gets the most grease?

@RepresentingTruth Leviticus 19 says that you shouldn't plant two different crops in one field, it doesn't outline a punishment for it though. It also says do not practice sorcery though, and Leviticus 20 says to stone mediums to death, so not sure how serious to take it.

I'm not hypocrite is the right word for that, it's a big book to remember all the ins and outs of.
