Holly Heise and Leonard Wolf created the Addy Gold winning "Best Score 2009" for this wonderful film about UMC and their global outreach. The music is a fusion of world music with orchestral with a touch of Black Gospel and pop rock.

  • Jesus didn't try to use the government to serve his neighbors for Him. That bunch of despots wouldn't have anyway.

He transformed one heart at a time. The ultimate commandment was love, not service. There is a difference.

Since this world and everything on it is doomed to total destruction, the only thing that will last is transformed people who will join us in heaven. We can gain rewards in heaven by our sacrifices. Look up the Beatitudes.

  • @HSRTDZayV - Now you are contradicting yourself - this film is all about love. love and service go hand and hand

"whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant." Mathew 20:28

"as we have opportunity" we are to "do good to all," that it should be our habit to serve for people's good, regardless of who they are (Galatians:6:10)

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

  • Nice socialist dream. John Lennon would approve. If it depends on mass psychology, what "message" is that? You certainly don't need Jesus. When things get tough, the mass can turn into a mob.

That's why Jesus focused on the individual and growing from there, not the other way around. We need to rethink "church" in terms of the New Testament model, not the socialist model.

  • @HSRTDZayV - is treating your neighbor in the same way you want to be treated socialism? - How are you living like the Lord? By passing judgement on a church doing good deeds in the world as not aligned with your view of the bible?

  • @HSRTDZayV -

Micah 6:8 And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice,

and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God!

  • @HSRTDZayV - There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold. They laid it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. There was a Levite, a native of Cyprus, Joseph, to whom the apostles gave the name Barnabas (which means “son of encouragement”). He sold a field that belonged to him, then brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

    (Acts 4:34-37)
