Go Chase Your Dreams

Watching the Beijing Olympics inspired me to be more committed to my passion, music. It was also a convenient time because it was, and is, just before entering a music college. Seeing Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson win the gold and bronze for the women's all around, and hearing Michael Phelps' story about struggling and being bullied in school, which is very similar to what my life was like before I started going to Groves Academy, inspired me to write this song.

During the second week of the Beijing Olympics, my family went to our log cabins in Door County, Wisconsin, where we didn't have a TV. I spent a lot of that trip writing this song, and we got back from the trip just in time to see the closing ceremony for the Olympics. I first performed this song for my parents right after the ceremony.
