@zalgrad85 the respec was introduced last minute in 1.13 lol. Up until that point you were stuck in diablo 2. Yes yes, I usualy had 1 necro that summoned. Only character. Only 1 build.

Yea I'm in america.. kinda bummed I have proof of purchase, but no means of installation. Anywho, if you check out mooege it takes less than an hour to setup. I even posted a video of myself using it yesterday. (this video is of mooege)

You must be american then because here in the EU there's no cd keys for D1.

@zalgrad85 Skill points create "builds". Having everyone be able to use all skills is fun and all, but then why would anyone make more than 5 characters? I agree with auto stats, since almost everyone did that the same with every build, but meh idk.

I have a cd key from 2005 when i purchased a battlechest. I came with diablo 1, diablo 2 and LOD. I believe it was $19.99, even then. The key is for diablo 1.

@TomGezen not so different. A number of the original team is still present but what matters is that blizzard is in charge. Has it not been for their direction you'd played a clay game. And essentially you'd have played a game that was "not dark enough". Skill points and skill trees? Pfft such a flawed and outdated game design from the early 2000s.

Why would a no cd version of an ancient game be purchasable from their website. You're better off just dling it or ebay it.

@zalgrad85 It's more of a fact. Diablo 3 may have the name, but it a completely different team behind it. Remember the early phases? skill trees and skill points? Remember when they restarted from scratch? Remember when they changed up the staff working on it completely? It's only a diablo game in name.

I have a cd. I was asking if a no-cd version was available through their website.

@zalgrad85 it's not my opinion, it's a common opinion from diablo 1 and 2 fans. Hellgate also re-released as a free to play game. No features were cut.

I can't find D1 on bnet... i only see starcraft, diablo2, diablo 2 LOD.

I installed this mooege diablo 3 and it works wonderfully. I'll probably post a video later.

@TomGezen what are you talking about D1 IS on the bnet(which is a service not a website), and you don't even need a cd key for it. There's not 1 game they did that didn't have online.

@zalgrad85 Too bad Diablo 1 isn't available on the battlenet website. I have a cd key for it and I think a CD around somewhere for it, but it's sad to see its not online.

Check out who's on the diablo 3 development team vs the team behind torchlight and torchlight 2... you'll understand. Diablo 3 is a new genre of DRM chaos, torchlight 2 is more the true continuation of the series.. based on the people who are working on it and the features it will have.
