  • Why is it going backwards?

  • Wish I knew that. #8 was on time until Rugby, ND. Then it suddenly lost 12 hours.

  • Beautiful evocative video. Great!

  • I was over by 380 characters, so I couldn't add that in! Thanks! :)

  • The Empire Builder was experiencing air trouble, that is.

  • The train was wyed in Minot and the BNSF Dash 9 was placed on the rear after experiencing air difficulties in the ~ -15F temps. It sat there overnight for about 12 hours for some reason. That is the cause of the tardiness.

  • The westbound Empire Builder that struck the pedestrian outside of Chicago on December 10 and became 6 hours late because of it made up over 2 hours of the deficit and arrived just less than 4 hours late in Seattle. The train was turned in about 3 and a half hours and departed as train 8-12 some 76 minutes late. Finally, a BNSF locomotive was placed on the rear of the train, which did the trick, left for Chicago where it finally arrived the following morning, just over 15 hours late.

  • Very interesting!

  • Wow 10 passenger car and an extra car, wow!
