"Stockholm Syndrome" Singh- MSP Debut 8/17/08

My name is Matthew Singh and I'm from all over the place, but most recently I'm from Cupertino, CA. For those of you curious, I'm half Indian and half "white," with the Indian-ness coming from my father's side. I'm currently studying International Development at UC Berkeley, with a research focus on identity and the production of difference. In my spare time I like to hang out with my baby sister, sing along with the radio, and escape to a beach or forest outside the city. I hope the reasons I have chosen to participate tonight will become clear in the piece to follow.
