LONDON Protests - 26 March 2011 LOVE Police PART 2 Downing Street Free Speech STAMPED OUT

This is what REALLY happened out on the streets of London on 26th March 2011 starting at the previously jovial atmosphere outside Fortnum and Mason. What started as an organised TUC march quickly gave way to simultaneous protests from people of all walks of life. Anti-war, anti-capitalists, anarchists, anti-tax, families, OAPs, punks, students.. The list is endless. A wide representation of the general public attended and made their voice heard.

Not only did Police Officer Badge Number JI15 not know the difference between a Law and an Act of Parliament / Statute, but he also REPEATEDLY cited "The Police Criminal Evidence Act" as the lawful reason that people remove their masks.

As far as I am aware, the actual ACT is actually Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (CJA).

What hope do we have if the very Officers who have taken an Oath to protect US don't even know what they are enforcing?!

I only saw peaceful protest. People expressing themselves according to their rights. The only violence I saw was propagated by the vastly outnumbered police presence who seemed only to be in any real control once the huge numbers dropped right off late into the evening.

Luck would have it that I had the pleasure of spending much of the day with Charlie Veitch and other Love Police as well as people from The Kindness Offensive. Thanks guys for a great day. You are all wonderful.

Lastly I feel I must apologize to the Sergeant that I name-call in the subtitles. I was fairly angered by the police treatment of Charlie and the others when I edited the video and I could have edited the video in a more loving way. Sorry - You're beautiful too. x

The trouble arises when they forget that their oath is to uphold law and protect us the people, rather than enforce countless statutes and acts of parliaments in the interests of wealthy corporations. In the words of Winston Churchill, "If you have ten thousand regulations you destroy all respect for the law."

Things are already hotting up over there (Lookup Adam Kokesh) and the big protests will definitely spread to America when the dollar dies, as it will because it is a fiat currency and NO fiat currency in history has ever lasted. All we are really seeing is a regular cycle where there is a massive transfer of wealth away from the masses into the pockets of a handful of rich "elite". The people are starting to notice. :)

I'll let other viewers of this comment decide what sort of a detached, dysfunctional person would make such a comment on a video like that. @shaunc07 NO, NO, NO! Police Officers are UNDER OATH to protect US! We have a RIGHT to anonymity - that is just one of our rights that they're supposed to protect. You're either free or you're not free - there is no grey area. The Police are supposed to be OUR SERVANTS. They are supposed to answer to US. They are NOT supposed to be there to merely protect the Corporate interests of the wealthy elite. Remember, that people died in two world wars for the freedoms we are supposed to have.

not only were large numbers of 'police' hiding their faces, many more had no identifying numbers on their lapels! Are they really 'police' i seriously doubt it. Also, many of those that were identified were Military Police - their jurisdiction is over the military only except under 'martial law' which was clearly not the case here. Who are these people and perhaps more relevant, who is authorising their deployment?

@TheHolySpirit Not all cops are bad. And there was a lot of crime that has come out of these riots. Inocent people have been harmed. Making that statement does not mean their head is buried in the sand. What do you prefer- criminals taking over and running rampant? How naive, Move to Zimbabwe then.
