  • very heavy :/

  • d9002, Beethoven himself, one of Mozart's greatest fan, wouldn't compare. His Fuge is based on this one. He transcribed this piece at the time he was working on his grosse Fuge, and if you'd listen carefully you'd be able to listen how much was inspired by Mozart's extreme chromatic modulations in the double counterpoint. Mozart did not only imitate Bach, he took dissonant modulations to an extreme, which was an inspiration to Beethoven's Fuge modulations...30 years later!

  • I think the tempo/mood variations in the adagio segment are more severe than the recording I have. Nice. I like a bit more melancholy usually, but this was nice!

  • thats from beethoven

  • i agree with you dear jhonwica.

  • Beautifully done. This piece is not played often enough. Not many people think of fugue and Mozart at the same time. Good players!

  • listen to the grosse fuge in B flat major op 133 that's better way much

  • I wish it had been played with more sadness, but this is great as well.

I've always thought this version was better than the piano arrangement.

  • Wow! Very interesting articulaton! Nice interpretation, great expression! They sound like a string armi, i think is because they are in a kind of church..
