SamFfuller is becoming increasingly more well known to more mainstream audiences. You can see the influence on Shutter Island, a neo-pulp film if there ever was one.

"The Naked Kiss" is one of my favorite Fuller films -- it's so audaciously, unapologetically melodramatic. It was released in 1964 but feels like it was made in the '40s. I mean, any picture that opens with a bald-headed woman beating the crap out of some guy just HAS to be good!
