The point of the Rameau Opera-ballets is that they were a combination of both arts.
If you have to look away you are not receiving the entire message.
Scotland isn´t so far from Bordeaux or Paris, catch a plane and get to know France before immigration totally ruins it.

mrmoliodelahoz I'm Scottish and my knowledge of French 18 C is limited. The music is the thing. I simply look away when I play this. Fantastic music. All of it.

This music resonates with me as to what it means to BE French in the best of the 18th century aristocracy.
The dance doesn´t reflect anything about French baroque culture.
