Isabella Part II - a Mason Jennings cover

After years without uploading and playing less and less of the guitar, I finally decided to start up again. When you sing and play guitar a decent amount, and then you stop, it's hard to pick it back up because your voice and guitar skills are so crappy compared to how they used to be. Well, the voice comes back quickly, but the guitar skills take more time. When I recently heard this MJ song, first, I fell in love. Then, I realized how incredibly easy it sounded (no need to practice a ton!). As per usual, I picked this one by ear (easy G-C-D chords, with the chorus part being G-Em-D). As as per usual, with only minor variations, I generally try to remain as faithful to the song as what I hear in my head when I listen to it.

After all the truly amazing things people have written to me, and after how annoyed people seemed to be that I made so many self-deprecating comments, I've decided to completely forego making any negative comments about myself. If you want to make some, suit yourself. :-) And not that I WANT to make this a race issue, but just so that I can have the satisfaction of saying "I told you so" in a context where it is actually deserved, let me guess already--are they about my race? Gee, I've never heard that before.... = )

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it. I loved learning the song. And singing it? Well, it's an absolute joy! Mason Jennings, and all four songs I know of his, is amazing!
