The Extra-Ordinary Memorial Services for The Venerable Aggadipo Van Ly, an Abbot of the Glory Buddhist Temple in Lowell, Massachusetts, U.S.A. Venerable Aggadipo was one of my Buddhist Masters. I entered his Temple ever since I knew nothing about Buddhism. He gave me so much knowledge, I will never forget Him. He's the first Buddhist Monk who made me sing the Buddhist Sacred Song in public. I was so nervous on that day. Master knew my situation, so he trained me not to be afraid of anything or anyone. Since then, I never afraid of anything, and I never had any problem speaking in public because of Him. I would like to dedicate this video to all his living relatives, especially Grandma Tan Sear and her daughter. May His Spirit Rest in Peace.

  • I couldn't even weep when my three brother died at the hand of khmer rouge in 77,i have to hide my tears, suppressed my emotion,or else be accused of being an enemies sympathizer, which could lead to my own death, pieces of us died with those we dearly love, the last to go suffered the most.

  • Entropy and Evolution are both scientific theories. Not sure how one disproves the other and why scientists haven't figured this out. I think evolution does happen, despite entropy.

Philosophically however, I agree that attachment is the source of suffering. Or rather the self is the source of suffering and elation. It's all in our heads. But clearly some selective attachment is in order, after-all, they had a ceremony for the deceased. They were attached to the monk and rightfully so.
