@rgtzgmnst It's probably because doing a Produnova is so much different than a Yurchenko back layout with twists and since that's all they really ever compete and develop, they don't use or learn forward vaults. Like, between the Yurchenko 1/1 and 2/1, there's the 3/2 if you're not yet ready for the 2/1 but better than the 1/1. Between a front tuck and Produnova, there's nothing. Of course there's front layouts with twists but even those are much different from front tucks.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 yes! I remember sawing a Mexican gymnast in 2008 Olympics named Marisela Cantu, she wasn't a gymnast with a high level but she did a back tuck handspring/yurchenko almost perfect, I wonder why if gymnasts like Mustafina, or Nabieva, etc. doesn't do a harder vault like the Prudunova
@rgtzgmnst It's pretty strange. Most elite gymnasts around age 12 have a Yurchenko full tucked or a front tuck but go on to develop the Yurchenko laid out twisting vaults. I wish they'd do more forward vaults.
please do something about your hair it's awful!!!
