How to Survive a Plague: Movie

Synopsis
HOW TO SURVIVE A PLAGUE is the story of the brave young men and women who successfully reversed the tide of an epidemic, demanded the attention of a fearful nation and stopped AIDS from becoming a death sentence. This improbable group of activists bucked oppression and, with no scientific training, infiltrated government agencies and the pharmaceutical industry, helping to identify promising new medication and treatments and move them through trials and into drugstores in record time. In the process, they saved their own lives and ended the darkest days of a veritable plague, while virtually emptying AIDS wards in American hospitals in the process. The powerful story of their fight is a classic tale of empowerment and activism that has since inspired movements for change in everything from breast cancer research to Occupy Wall Street. Their story stands as a powerful inspiration to future generations, a road map, and a call to arms. This is how you change the world.

Aids is not a plauge NOW only because of what the Aids activists did then. Learn your Gay history, bro. The film is certainly a description of what it takes to get government, big pharma and ordinary people to pay attention when none of them wanted to. It doesn't sound like you remember the 80's very well at all which is why you should see this film.

    Asian countries for Asians.

    Black countries for Blacks.

    but White countries for everybody?

    That's genocide.

    Anti-racist is a codeword for Anti-White

True, so long as it appeared to be a "gay disease", many, especially the religionists, were happy to just let gay men die, seeing it as "god's punishment for homosexuality". Never mind that gay men in monogamous relationships had zero chance of infection, as did lesbians, even promiscous lesbians.

Only when it turned out that half the world's 33 million HIV/AIDS infected population are heterosexual females (15.9 million) and children were dying, did they reluctantly decide to get involved.

The tired Lincoln "point" again? Really? Here's the deal, "bud": Abolitionists were liberal as was Lincoln. The slave holders/ proponents of the system were the conservatives of their time. While of course Lincoln was a member of your party, Republicans of the mid 19th century have as much in common with today's teabaggers as you have with someone with a clue.

To your assertion that "both parties did nothing", perhaps to an extent, but there was only one truly obstructionist party: Yours.

Listen here bud, Lincoln was a republican, so be careful about bashing my party too much. Assholes in both parties did nothing to help stop this plague, so try to keep that in mind.

Wrong jackass, a documentary is base on facts, and not on the beliefs of a few in a society, a movie is for pure entertainment value, such as this movie.

Can't edit original comment....anyway, my bad, it looks like they licensed/edited a theme called "Complexity" from Dramageddon -- UTU won't let me paste any version of the link, either.

I believe it is probably Superhuman Happiness performing the music of Arthur Russell -- they did the score, with the Kronos Quartet.

That is an amazing trailer. Who scored it? They did an amazing job, especially integrating the chanting protests.
