  • @yourpsychic Well, first of all: in the less populated places, you look behind before you make a turn: in Amsterdam it's like 'everybody for themselfes...': make a turn whenever you want to, because the chance someone behind you will actually anticipate on the signals you're giving, is about 0.0%... Cycling through a red light is about as normal as cycling when the signal turns green ;)

  • I've been there twice and what amazes me is their proficiency for cycling. Roads that put the fear of god into me, and I like to think myself an accomplished cyclist, have women just riding along without a care in the world, one kid on the front, one on the back, chatting on a mobile phone...meandering through busy intersections (with cars whizzing in all directions) and it is just second nature to them. There, a person cycles the moment they're able to and they stop when when they're dead.

  • the one behind you uses his/hers bell, no mirrors required

  • NICE!!!!!!!!

  • HAHAHA! We are "professionals", no helmets, no mirrors, no crashes.

  • With so many cyclists coming from behind why don't they use mirrors in the Netherlands?

  • its an "omafiets"

  • screw gas.

  • bad song choice. barf jizz!!!

  • Love those upright posture bikes with high handle bars!
