Oh my goodness! At first I thought this was going to be a horrible video about a baby dying and I would be crying uncontrollably. Instead, I got a wonderful story of a woman and her family triumphing over such a difficult obstacle. This is wonderful for you get this information out to the rest of us moms. Your sons are beautiful! They made me smile.

What a wonderful video! Thank you for speaking out about this. I too know all too well about big pharma, and in addition to what I said in response to another person's comment on here, another element is drs WANT you on those drugs and like your experience, I was put on anything with little to no proper screening. I would lie to get higher dosages of adderall because of the meth like affects it had. I simply told my dr the low dose didn't seem to work, so they upped me, no questions asked. >:(

Thank you, thank you, thank you for speaking out. You will save more lives and young minds than you will ever know. We have to listen to our hearts and not what "everyone" says when it comes to the important stuff. Much happiness to you and your family.

I think their needs to be more midwives out there who actually care about mother and baby. And less babies being born in hospitals. as far as I am concerned doctors and hospitas didnt exist for the longest time and when a baby is healthly and the mom is healthy there is NO need for a maternity ward. I DO NOT trust them nor should anyone. their just out looking to make money... nothing more!!

Caring brings tears of bitterness. I'm so tired of crying. Why do I care so? Because I have been through nearly 12 years of over medicating and was told by my doctor, "Ms. A, You will never be well". I sit here and tell you that ONLY after I stopped taking antidepressants am I in wellness. THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE PRESCRIBING. Only and only after I looked up the Cymbalta & Effexor, and it came up MAJOR MAJOR DRUG INTERACTION did I stop taking meds.
I sit in wellness & ready to fight.

I am currently very upset with my sister's "doctor" who sees her maybe once a month and says," you look stressed, here's some more drugs." She suffers from severe anxiety and depression and is being told that she will have to be on drugs for the rest of her life. She not currently undergoing any type of counseling and I think this approach is like putting a band-aid on a huge gaping wound. I am very concerned.

I don't think you even had ppd it would be impossible to diagnose 5 days pp and given the panic of the child nearly dieing it was normal to be over protective and have a panic attack. Panic attacks are not always a sign of depression you should bring legal action against those doctors because that diagnosis was malpractice and its not as if you don't pay for the health care you recieve with bills so high you should have been properly assessed

Thanks for speaking up. I do so regularly to encourage people with mental illness, like me, to find healthy ways to balance their brain. After years of resistance to medication, I became desperate and gave in. I became a guinea pig for a psychiatrist. Eventually I listened to my own body and stopped medication in a way I felt was safe and appropriate. This may not be everyone's path, but it was mine, and I am so grateful. Today, I regulate my BPD through exercise and diet. Education is key!
