If any acronym can boast full penetration from geekdom to the rest of the world... it's "RSS". Everyone has a "feed" on their site or blog these days and they expect you to know what to do with it! Feeds -be they RSS, Atom, or XML- allow us to "pull" information from the web without having to visit the sites ourselves. It also prevents us from having to go "check" a site for updates because their feed would alert us of any updates.

Learn how to add and remove feeds from Google reader and get tips on how to sort them and read them effectively in today's video.

  • GR crashes my IE.

  • Firefox is generally better for Google products. I'm Google will fix any bugs with IE in time, however.

  • that was great. really helpful and I used it. but the music - although I understand it is supposed to say "we are moving" - should actually compliment the experience. the experience is taking in new information and applying it, so the music should make that easier not harder, right? you are talented and hopefully this idea will help next time.
