This is just a little animation I did, based on the 1949 Golden Book, "The Night Before Christmas", written by Clement Moore, illustrated by Corinne Malvern, read by Robin Williams.

If you enjoy it, please let your friends know about it.

Merry Christmas!

  • I too will use this with Romanian 5th to 8th graders. I am a TEFL teacher as a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania.

  • @milagnor I'm flattered that you are using the video to teach. Thank you for watching and thanks for your service in the Peace Corps.

  • @MisterUptempo is this the same story in that .. old 6 story christmas album that i used to have ?? I remember the sleeve bein green with a huge orange 6 on it. the stories were .. johnny appleseed, twas the night before christmas, jingle bells, rudolph, & frosty. I believe the whole album was called .. A Christmas Story/How lovely is christmas.

  • @MrMykl71 Sorry for not getting back to you sooner...

This video was made with illustrations from a Big Golden Book printed in 1949. It's the only story in the book. Big and Little Golden Book versions of this illustrated story were produced for years. There are plenty of new & used copies of the Little Book available for sale, far fewer of the Big Book(used only).

Also, Merrigold Press also printed a Big version, with the same illustrations. Used copies are available.

  • Thank you so much for posting!!! i love it! and my son loves it too! thanks much!!

  • @23Auddie Thank you very much for watching, and I'm so happy that your son enjoys it as well. The book from which I made the video belonged to my mother. My siblings and I enjoyed reading it every Christmastime while growing up. And now my nieces, a third generation, enjoy it today.

  • I had this book as a kid! 5 Stars.

  • Wow. You combined the exact same story book (same pictures) that I used to read every Christmas eve with Robin Williams . . . amazing! I love the animation, and the familiarity of the pictures and Robin Williams' voice! [Helps a bit with my homesickness . . . I, too, am in Korea this Christmas -- this will be my first Christmas away from home].

  • @MisterUptempo I finally found that 6 christmas story album that i was looking for since i was a child .. this story is one of them on it. found it on ebay last month & bought it for a steep price. It was originally gonna be $9 .. but some tool had to bid & jack it up to $55. Oh well i still won, guess theres no price too small for nostalgia like this. Whwn i get a usb turntable ill put the whole 12" inch up.

  • MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
