we're gonna try the long key bridge, channel 5, and maybe seven mile. not too familiar with the keys.

I just got a bridge gaff, how long do you recommend I should make my gaff for the bridges down in the key? Any specific rope/knots? I'd hate to lose a brand new expensive gaff :P
