Dr. Jerald Dirks, a former Christian Minister slowly began to leave Christian belief during his days in the Harvard School of Divinity. Like many others, after being introduced to the large number of contradictions found in various Christian scriptures, he slowly began to retrogress from the Christian activist seen. Dr. Dirks is now a practicing Muslim trying to spread the understanding of the Islamic faith amongst the people.

I'm in Christian Seminary. The App. District School of Ministry in West Va. Top Assemblies of God ministry school in the Country. My story seems to be close to this man. I'm still confused though. I have lost my desire to preach and find myself defending Islam more and more. Especially within the ministry. So many ministers say things I know Muslims don't believe. It breaks my heart.

It is the first time I see and hear such a deep account of a conversion to Islam. I am myself an "atypical Christian"- and right now very much "tempted" to follow Dr.Dirk's step - but cultural identity is not nothing....

@sartoriusful I understand, my Buddhist mother thinks I'm like a cultural traitor. But Islam gives us peace. Reason dictates we trust evidence, but faith requires us to make sacrifices. I hope God will give you grace on your path, it is my invitation to you as I am a former Christian also.

I've never watched a video that was even a half-our long on Youtube, but for some reason I find videos like this very interesting. As my interest for Islam grows, my patience also grows.
