  • *Hears price of first brush*

    *Has heart attack*

  • @snelly69 - You find them at the Shavemac website. (triple w)(dot)shavemac(dot)com

  • where can you find a shave mac ?

  • I was in the same situation as you. People often rave about badger brushes. I tried them and can honestly say I don't like them. They're much better than the crap they sell at the drug stores but that isn't saying much.

For me I found that a good synthetic badger brush works better and lasts longer.

Badger hair is very delicate and won't last long but what's worse is that it's not worth the trouble to care for. Find a good synthetic badger brush and it'll do the job and give you a great shave.

  • lol I know whats up with the click, click, click?

  • I recently purchased my first firm silver tip badger hair brush from Trufitt & Hill. It cost about about $130 dollars, but I have found it well worth the money. It was by far the most expensive item purchased in order to convert to DE razor/wet shaving.

  • I have been shaving without a brush for almost a decade.

I just switched to a safety razor and am thinking about a brush.

Since this would be a new experience, I am not willing to spend too much on my first 'real' brush.

The brush I have I bought years ago at a supermarket (laughably - it was called the barber's brush).

  • where could i buy/order a savile row sr-208, which i think you said was the smaller, 50 dollar model, and what do you think about the 60 dollar or so dovo 'best value' straight razor for a beginner?
