Just messing around in the weight room, testing out my new Dominator Athletics Weight Lifting Straps. These are about the best investment any serious weight lifter could make.

  • you should be doing the full motion then half assing it because you are not doing a lift. you are pulling it half way and stopping. technically you got 1 for each set..

  • @TRNJAIRSOFT You comment demonstrates that you have no idea what a Hungarian hang clean is... This is a specific strength lift for hammer throwers, not competitive weight lifters. I have cleaned 435lbs with "correct form"

  • Straps??? No straps for cleans people. If you lose it the straps will snap your wrists.

  • Hey man, can you explain to me the hungarian clean progression? Does it actually develop strength for your hang clean or is it better suited for hammer throwers/shot putters? Should I just stick to a standard hang clean/front squat progression if optimal explosiveness is my goal our could this be something to drastically alter my workout and promote gains a la muscle confusion

  • this is really cool ive never seen this it looks like its really training explosive power. i wonder if it would help me get my power clean up i used to use straps but went away from it because i felt like i was bouncing the bar to much off my legs..how would u recommended controlling the bar like how u are doing so that i am not bouncing the bar...check my videos of cleans
