Toyota FJ Cruiser gets stuck (near end of video) trying to drive out of the river in up state PA

  • its a bloody automatic transmission.|f it was a manual you could have rocked the vechicle back and forth without switching to reverse gear. But probably the biggest mistake you made was to take your foot off the gas to early as you climbed

  • @iENJOIskating209 Should have gotten a Jeep.

  • @Fuzz40 jeep would have gotten stuck in the middle of the river or hydro locked and needed a 6'' lift kit

  • It looks like ATRAC was on, but the brakes were too wet to transfer much torque A Detroit Truetrac (basically a Torsen clutchless limited slip) would help a lot by providing a brake multiplier. Seriously, Torsen style diff carriers make a world of difference with brake based traction control systems.

  • figured snorkel would help

  • Some Mattracks will solve with problem! They are indestructible!

  • That sucks. Looks like you need some KM2"s.. Do you have ATRAC?? Was that on when this was happening
