  • You are thinking only of North America. In most other parts of the world they do give birth with midwives. If you don't believe me then look it up. Try opening your mind for once. If you don't care, you don't have to reply. I am just wondering why you were looking at this video in the first place if you so obviously don't like midwives.

  • the donger knows all knows nothing. Did you know that New Zealand, where most of the care is predominantly by the midwife, have some of the best outcomes for childbirth, for example lower rates of intervention, low birth weight, and babies dying? do some research....

  • most women do not give birth with midwives assisting. that is not a fact. some women do. not most. not by any means. maybe in san fransisco. im going to give it to you straight.....i dont not care about you or anything you have to say....so dont waste your time.

  • I responded so that people who came to see the video would not only see your ignorant comments, they would see a different side. Anyway, who really cares if it's 2 months old if you obviously still replied to it? It had nothing to do with being a hippy, I am only stating the fact that most women around the world give birth with midwives assisting, and OB/GYNs are trained in complications and surgery, not normal birth. Before you make such a dumb comment, maybe you should do some research.

  • spoken like a true hippy. welcome to the 2 month old conversation by the way. why the hell do you even respond to a comment that is 2 months old?

  • You are extremely ignorant, midwives have extensive graduate training in what to do to handle emergency situations if they occur. Midwives provide primary care to most pregnant women around the world. OB/GYNs are trained to handle high risk pregnancies or complications if they occur, but the vast majority of women do not need to see an OB/GYN.

  • the dr isnt really needed in the firstplace the midwives do everything they deliver the babys and take care of them thats y the medical headd are going to change the term midwives to doctors. dont need to call a doctor to asses the health and risks of the babys. the midwives are trained in all of that

  • so what the hell do you do when there are complications? call a dr? why the hell are they not at the dr in the first place? so what the hell do they actually do? really. tell you your doing a good job until a problem occurs? wtf. that makes about as much sense as one of those dog whisperers. they have a word for these people already. its called a nanny. a really expensive nanny. gimmick.
