@hydraxeno07 Sorry for a late reply. If you put your skink in the same box, the female will lose interest with the male. If you have separate them (at least 3-6 months), meet them up again around spring time or when the weather gets warmer. If they still attack each other after a long separation, most likely both male. The female usually very submissive during the mating season and have the ' catch me if you can attitude'

Ok so at what age will they try to mate? I know they should not be bred before 2 years old but at what age will they try or attempt it?

@joseydiann It really depends on the size of your skink.Once the male is big enough to 'hold ' the female, the male skink will try to mate. In this video the skink is around 1.5 year old

Thanks for the reply. Mine are about 8 months old and I have no clue if they are males or females. Will the males have the sperm plus at 8 months old?

@joseydiann. If you have a pair. It is better if you separated from them for a while. ( around 3 months). Then meet them again when the weather is warmer or without heat pad. Once meet, they should react- So the male will try to 'seduce' the female. And given the correct care, your skink should have produced sperm -- but it takes some practice for the male to 'hold' the female. He will not always successful. Good luck.
