Students discuss how a family health history can provide information about you and your familys risk of developing common chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, cancer and heart disease. These diseases result from the combined effects of multiple genes and environmental factors.

The movie depicts the Risk Continuum and Pick The Risk activities which are available for free download from http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/begin/traits/activities/

This project was supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration, Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Genetic Services Branch and the March of Dimes.
