Republican jesus

In the war that is American politics today, I do wish to be civil. I don't mean this video to be another piece of inflamatory propaganda. This video was put together with much hesitation, meditation and prayer. I ask only that the viewer realize these "teachings" truely are part and parcel of the concept of Jesus which the "right" claims we all must embrace, Spiritualy and politicaly.

I hope we may rethink, reread and ask ourselves if Jesus really would be an NRA member. Thenext Republican candidate for President may be one who "clings to their guns and their religion".


"Healing the sick without getting paid is socialism".

"Don't feed the poor, it makes them lazy".

"You have the poor always among you. It keeps labor costs down".

"It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick, as long as they can pay for one and make sure to cover the profit margin".

"Blessed are the warmongers".

"You shall not bear false witness. Unless you're trying to start a war".

"Love your enemy, unless you can make more money killing him".

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, unless they have your oil under their sand, in which case all bets are off".

"It is for freedom I have set you free to invade".

"May it be done on earth as it is in America".

"Blessed are the wealthy".

"It is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven, unless he votes Republican."

"If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also, then reach into your boot for your
gun".

"No one can come to the Father, except through me and only if he votes Republican".

"A man's life is not in the abundance of his possessions if he is a lazy ass and can't afford a flatpanel and a big house".

Its harsh, forgive me, but true on the whole. As a follower of the Teachings of Jesus, and a student of the actual policy that Republicans and Conservatives are required to support, if they want to be saved (or get funding from the RNC). All I can say is - OY!

We have strapped a rifle on Jesus, suited him up to sell hegdefunds, got Him off opposing the environment and poor people. Starting wars and building a global empire on a dwindling resource. It's a bit eerie.

Will the real Jesus please come home?

In the book series Iron Druid by Kevin Hearne every god exists including Jesus. The main character of those books knows Jesus personally and Jesus is described to be someone who's very frustrated by the fact that his image and teachings are so twisted. Even though I'm Wiccan I believe in Jesus and I think he's as frustrated as he is in the Iron Druid books

@Genin99 Wow - thank you so much. When the many seekers over the many ages have dipped their robes into the unseen - God - they so often come up with the same results. Much of what you said I relate to... Karma/ sowing and reaping deeds - God is "in all things and through all things and in S/He all things hold together." :)

I sense the Divine Feminine in this season, also. The masculine has been dominate with good and bad results, now the nurture, Feminine will arise, I see that also.
