Gisele MacKenzie was without a doubt among the best of singers of all time. Her natural good looks, warm contralto voice, perfect comedy timing, abiity to dance and play piano & violin and gift of perfect pitch earned her a television show that was produced by Jack Benny's J&M productions for NBC (1957-1958). Gisele had the best talent as you can hear from this splendid arrangement of "Chances Are" with all those violins of The Axel Stordahl Orchstra and the wonderful piano style of Paul Smith. Also included is Gisele's closing theme, "Merci Beaucoup."
Beautiful! went on You Tube to hear this one Mathis Song and I found myself listening to 30 minutes more of Gisele's posted songs. What an infectious, beautiful Voice! Have no doubt, Why she was proclaimed "Canada's First Lady of Song".
