ESP has proven its name in the metal arena as some of the sickest shredders out there lend their endorsements to ESP's guitars. The Vtone PC-1V is an example of why that metal label shouldn't limit your view on their guitars. This semi-hollowbody is well built, easy to play and a pleasure to listen to from a crispy clean tone to a Ratted out distortion. It's even got the same pickups that Slash puts in all of his fancy Gibsons.

Don't take my word for it. Just watch Owen O'Malley instead!

  • Don't base yourselves on this review. I've got one and through a good amp it really sounds good. The only downside I found is the size (compared to an LP). But once you get used to this, this is a lovely piece of artwork.

  • I want one so I can put lace puckups in it

  • I am pretty certain that this guitar was plugged in the line in of their integrated sound card all the time.

    Dudes....horrible review.

  • i'm so sorry to say it but

1.-the guitar is VERY OUT OF TUNE...are you deaf???

2.-this guitar player does not have the minimum skills to this kind of job..sorry man but your sacles sound very awful, lack of precision, nonsense harmony...etc

i know this is to show the guitar sound but having an out of tune guitar and a bad player it doesn't help ....it was boring and painful ...really i mean it

I have a MINT old white ESP horizon 5-str bass, for AGES. I'm not a bass player, but this bass sounds like a dream and it's a real workhorse.

I played a couple of Vipers, and for my personal taste, I really loved the model with the 59' Seymour Duncan PUs. The neck is just FAN-TAS-TIC !!!

Good thing about guitars for metal is they mostly have neck shapes that I like.

The PC and PS look BEAUTIFUL, but we can only get them from the net where I live.

    I'd love to play one 1st !!!

  • @TheWorstManOnEarth my local shop lets you try any guitar on any vamp as long as you dont damage it t all and when i say at all i mean even the smallest nick means your buying it, i tried a pc v2 on a vox halfstack with a marshall 11 head, this review makes the guitar look bad when it actually sounds really beautiful, for clean or rock, i wasnt digging it for metal though i prefer ec 1000 or esp ltd f350 for metal, overall im a huge fan of esp i got 3 esps and one gibson, all really nice

  • @ithaley

Actually, like when going to a guitar shop, sometimes the owner will not wish to let you play the guitars, for reasons which are his own and that I'm wishing to respect, so I don't pay too much attention to how good or bad the man plays if he does the demo for me, I'll just concentrate on the tone.

But one thing is sure, and you're right about it, he should present the amp he's playing on, and adjust it more likely to get to an optimal amp setting for the guitar tones he wants to demo.

  • all the best guitar players i know their lips mimic their hands man far out

  • This guy looks just like the dude from jaws that goes down in the cage, which probably explains why he cant play guitar
