  • Friends and Fans of Heiner Muller,

Search "Aufbau Lied der FDJ Bau auf" and look at this video. At 1:45 is that Heiner Muller??? Can that possibly be him?

If so, what is he doing there?!

  • No this is definitely not Heiner. He died in 95 at the age of 62, so that means that in 1945, he was 12 years old. He may have been in the crowd of children, but he was much too young to be the gentleman on the podium. I will post a little video soon wherein he speaks about his involvement with the Hitler Youth.

  • Sorry, I correct that. He was 66 at the time of his death. That would make him 16, not 12 in 45, but as "Aufbau Lied..." was obviously shot before 45, my point still stands. That man in the film looks about 30 years old to me. My video response is coming very soon.

  • This is an extract from the Heiner Muller documentary "I was Hamlet" (73'), which I made with Dominik Barbier in 1993. There are another couple of extracts on the NOTAMARKinc channel. Click on the link (top /right) and you will get to them. I may put up the whole thing soon... CaTV

  • ive le mur de berlin!

  • I was there that day with Dominik... I don't think Heiner was there but he certainly wasn't dead yet. Was this during the time we had a kontaktsperre to him (wegen den Anklagen... I.M. Heiner oder sowas...)?

  • Hi, thanks for your response to my question. But perhaps we are not looking at the same video? (The one I mean was posted by septime24, make sure it is that one.) The footage I refer to that may show Heiner Muller clapping and applauding at 1:45 is from an DDR parade probably from the early 1970's. At 0:45 you can see for example Walter Ulbricht, former head of the DDR. The man I'm thinking is HM looks about 35-40, which would be HM's age ca. 1970. So I still wonder if it is him.

  • What is this taken from?
