i seem to recognize your face
haunting, familiar, yet i can't seem to place it
cannot find the candle of thought to light your name
lifetimes are catching up with me
all these changes taking place, i wish i'd seen the place
but no one's ever taken me
hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away...
i swear i recognize your breath
memories like fingerprints are slowly raising
me, you wouldn't recall, for i'm not my former
it's hard when, you're stuck upon the shelf
i changed by not changing at all, small town predicts my fate
perhaps that's what no one wants to see
i just want to scream...hello...
my god its been so long, never dreamed you'd return
but now here you are, and here i am
hearts and thoughts they fade...away...

  • Unique singer and songwriter of his own time!!

I am older, but i can recognise Nirvana and Pearl Jam era as being a very strong movement in Music!!!!

  • Ya its hard to appreciate good music when youre the master of funk. Tell your mom shes beautiful and I love her taste in music.

  • @FredThaHead maybe James Brown and Michael Jackson should not be either...

but one progresses in the footsteps of another...

I just wanted to make a point that i found them both to be unique in their time and their own terms and great following of other Bands thereafter:-)

  • @Mariekesone Nirvana & Pearl Jam should never be used in the same sentence. Nirvana to me was like a glorified garage band that never got past power chords. Pearl Jam had much more substance.

  • best song of pearl jam (in my opinion)

  • Eddie!......so young.

  • wow, this is an amazing song!

  • Zib. Peace.
