Brock was driving for HDT - not HRT - no factory involvement except for providing the original chassis, which Brocks team of mechanics built to Peters specs. He shared his knowledge with every other team, preferring to race on an even platform. His choice to go to slicks could be seen as a mistake, though he still ran in third, before the two Sierra Cosworths were disqualified for modifying the front guards allowing them to run over sized front tires. RIP PB - missed by many

I was there that day - God it was so cold and wet. Brock had had a shit year - the worst of his career - and to come back in a bitsa car and win was just amazing. In the last few laps the crowd at the top of the mountain was going nuts every time he drove by. He'd give a wave as he went by!
