YES in plain English the glitch is fake. Wow I can't believe I have over 2,000,000 views for my glitch series. My only reason for making the glitch in the first place was to make bungie laugh. Some did and others didn't . I use my gamertags for most of the glitch videos. I have so many recon friends that make my screen shots look real and authentic, they find my glitch absolutely hilarious. many of my recon friends have actually tried the glitch before they got recon LOL. There are 100's of ways to earn recon and very few ways to not to earn it.

1. recon glitches don't work

2. you can't 1v1 a bungie member for recon nor can you 2v2 for recon. This type of recon giveaway is associated with gaming events like PAX ( penny arcade )

3. Don't ever ask for it.

4. Don't mod or hack

5. You may not buy recon but sometimes it's earned by contributions. Many youtube channel try and sell recon armor for 1600 microsoft points or more. These people are hackers and they just want your account.

You may also loose your recon for various reasons like.

1. Aggressive behavior
2. Boosting
3. Lending your gamertag for others to use.
4. Bragging you have recon and rubbing it in.
5. there are more but i will list the later.

Ways to get recon:

1. Make awesome videos that impress the bungie community. There are many youtube users that earned recon.
2. Make a really cool fan based website.
3. You can always make a really cool screen shot that gets bungie's attention.
4. Making a really cool map variant
5. Decorate your yard in Xmas lights
6. Order Bungie their favorite Chicago style pizza for lunch
7. There are almost weekly recon contests on bungie.net
8. You can sing halo style songs, there have been many winners for doing this
9. You can make a cool macinima
10. You can create a cartoon type website
11. You can kill your self in a special way. Many winners
12. You can kill others in a special way.
13. You can get a tattoo
14. You can make a cool replica armor
15. You can give to a Bungie charity.
16. You can make a montage, pictage, minitage or any type of tage you just need to impress Bungie.

I can go on and on, basicly anything can get you recon armor. It just needs to be done in love for the game of halo
