i use auto cad and this program is similar so i was simply getting people introduced to it

Thanks for the review. Although some of the comments were negative these were made comparing the product to AutoCAD functionality, which in my opinion is fair enough as this product is marketed as an alternative to that software. Obviously the presenter wasn't that experienced with the product (he drew and dimensioned a rectangle) but his remarks and the comments below have probably saved me several minutes looking for the orthogonal snap. So thanks all round. It hasn't put me off.

Ortho line works by right clicking 'snap' in lower right corner. This opens 'drawing aids', tick 'ortho mode' and you can then draw lines in ortho mode.

Where do you fit in with DoubleCAD? I am BETA tester for this program and some of what you talk of IE snaps not right, well they do work. I suggest you spend sometime on the DoubleCAD forum and ask questions if you are really interested. I and many will be willing to help you.

I suspect you have picked this program up and started playing about with it. I also feel what you are saying can put potential new users off the program.
