I miss the old days, when they treated the emergency egress after the CDT as if it was, well, an EMERGENCY, and had 'em *run* to the baskets, like they would if they had to evacuate because of a fire on the pad...

@rss0246 Bunker or the M113 APCs parked next to it--the M113s are the preferred option, because distance is *always* better than just a bunker. If they have time to flee in the 113, they will, because it can get a mile or more away in a couple of minutes. The bunker was *supposed* to be adequate to survive a Saturn V blowing up on the pad, but nobody really wants to test it...

Fast emergency escape to a bunker a couple of hundred meters from the pad -- in the event of a fire, fuel pressure rise or other problem during the terminal countdown...
