Scarlet Thistle Belly Dance, based in Hood River, perform Tribal Style Belly Dance based on the classic American Tribal Style (ATS) tradition.Under the direction of Colette Todorov, an alumni of FatChanceBellyDance, Scarlet Thistle specializes in group improvisation while they display their own voice and style. Presenting this fusion art form, which brings together dance elements from India, the Middle-East, North Africa and Spain, the dancers communicate via gestures and cues to interpret the music and perform a choreography which is created in the
moment.
