Comic book review Superman, Green Lantern, Hush, Magic

Welcome back faithful viewers. It's our 10th week, and I'm going to change the format a little in future episodes so this will more or less be the last one in that format.

So first off graphic novels:

Book of Magic (though sometimes with a K) -- the first book was written by Neil Gaiman and it is a great introduction for the character. The best part is that this book pulls in so many characters from other stories and areas of the DC Universe. The most recent book is by far one of the best, and what's great is that you don't have to read all the other books (really just the first one) to know the characters.

Hush -- This is a great modern Batman series. They change two face they bring in a new bad guy and start the return of Jason Todd. This series is a major point in the modern world of Batman though it's now unclear how long this will last with the Final Crisis around the corner...one can only hope that they ret-con Jason Todd and a whole lot of others out of the DCU.

New releases:

Green Lantern -- Part 8 of the Sinestro Corps War. This is another stellar issue in the series but what bothers me is that they haven't brought more characters there is no major tie-in. It's weird but hey it's still a great story. In this issue we see the return of some heroes and the evil Sinestro Corps come to earth.

Superman 668 -- Well thanks to Donner and his 'brilliant' writing we've got more Kryptonians on the planet than there should be. See we've got Superman then we have Powergirl then Supergirl and Krypto, don't forget Chris, oh and there is another one that Superman and Batman are trying to track down...for crying out load it's not that cool to have so many. Cut it down..again I can only hope that Final Crisis takes care of a lot of these things. I hope.

Books of Magic is damn fine. I think they did an admirable job keeping the magical elements grounded in the ongoing by John Ney Rieber.

yea, an army of evil guys with magic rings? every cape would be all over that, not just the GL's I like your stuff, I have to say, I do not think Moore intended to have the Killing Joke as cannon, the Joker even says at one point "if I am going to have a past, I want it to be multiple choice" we do not know if how he is remembering it is how it happened, the Jokers mind is so differant then that of a normal humans
