i just wanna say: being a high school student myself, i know that as soon as they start ending the dances, kids are gonna wanna go to house parties or other random parties where there will no doubt be drugs and alchohol. This happens anyways, but at least with the dances they will have a safe, supervised alternative. And they say they wanna keep us safe.

This whole thing about dirty dancing is ridiculous. In the 1700s the waltz was considered far worse than freaking because it involved men and woman having physical contact with one another. Now it's the tamest type of dancing possible. Times change, and perceptions of what's right also changes. Salter needs to chill out and understand that's how we dance, and we're not going to be prostitutes because we grind on one another.
