Here's the B-Side of the Grizzly Bear's While You Wait For The Others single. It's the same song, but featuring the one and only Michael McDonald of Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan fame on lead vocals.

  • My dad loves this guy. Can't wait to have him listen to this.

  • The sound at 3:25 scared the shit out of me

  • Now Grizzly Bear needs to track vocals for What A Fool Believes.

  • I love this!

  • This is surprisingly fucking amazing.

  • I think I posted this months ago on the same video, but ill say it again.. mike Macdonald is one of the best vocalists pop music has ever known and him singing this brilliant GB song is like jesus walking on water.

  • Since this was a B side, Grizzly Bear obviously has an appreciation for M. McD's voice and the alternate interpretation of their song. What's great about real artists is that they feel free to work with anyone they want to rather than letting someone else determine who or what is indie cool on any given day.

Think about how Quentin Tarentino singlehandedly made John Travolta cool all over again back in the day...there's talent there regardless of what any of us think of the taste level.

  • @thisisrobertb no way, he's tha man!

  • i'm a little less down on this song since finding out it was a b-side, but come on people! this is plain awful! just cause you remember who michael mcdonald doesn't make this an "amazing song cover". the original with ed's voice is so perfect and haunting - when i heard this on the radio it made me feel ill.

  • Never posted on youtube before. But this merits it. Amazing song. Both the original and this version. Grizzly Bear is genius, and that's no exaggeration.
