A before and after video of my 2008 Dodge Ram with a Flowmaster 50 Series SUV exhaust. First trip around the lot is with the stock air box under the hood, in the second trip around, I have a K&N Air Intake installed.

  • Notice any increase in mpg's after installin the cold air intake? I just put one in my 2002 4.7l dodge durango i was told all intakes are very similar and it depends on where the filter is placed. mine is in the best spot i could get it lol but i havent seen any increases on the display yet. its just been goin fritz!

  • @aaminjoshi91 Right after I got the CAI, I also went Superchips, so not sure how much the MPG was due to each. Certainly is better now though.

  • dude that is exactly the sound I want. Can you tell me what you did?

  • @reidag8890 Just got a Flowmaster 50 SUV, single in, dual outs, and then put a K&N CAI kit in. With the Superchips added on, it sounds meaner now than it did in the video.

  • did you notice a big difference in power and in exhaust volume from the intake? i've got a 4.7 dodge V8 and was thinkin bout gettin one with my super 44 flowmaster but only if it will help the exaust volume/loudness/sound quality. you know what i mean? i n the vid it sounds quite similar at start but a lil better when revving with the intake, i'm still in the dark as to what i can expect you know?

  • @aaminjoshi91 The difference was huge. When I first drove it with the CAI, I was worried it may have been too loud. The first few days, if I would rev too much, the whole dash panel had a reverb in it. After some break in time, that doesn't happen anymore.

  • Do you get any popping from your exhaust when you come off the gas and the MDS kicks in?

  • What exactly do you have done to the exhaust? Is it 3" straight pipe to that 50 or do you still have a resonator on? That's exactly what I want my 06 Hemi to sound like!!

  • Thanks for posting, that's the same sound I'd like out of my '07 Ram but I wasn't sure which exhaust to pick out. As for the CAI, I'll be putting one in as well because I've heard they boost power and save fuel quite a bit. Great video!

  • the 50 series does have a really good tone to it as well. especially on this hemi. i like the original 40, super 44/super 40 and the new super 10 series now those are loud. you should swap mufflers for a super 10 series bro. would sounds so bad fuckin ass on this thing!

  • @gsc1958 It's not bad at all, at least to me. When other people who aren't used to it ride with me, they seem a little bothered by it.

  • i will kill to get a Ram like this

thats how a Car have to sound like!!

    wonderful!!
