The TF2 crit system makes a player who has done high damage the last 20 seconds a higher crit-chance. Melees have a 15% base chance of critting, regular weapons 2%. The system goes up to 800 damage done the last 20 s, where the chance for it would be 75% for melees, and 10% for regular/ranged weapons.
