Massive RuneScape Disconnecting Glitch µ 2-25-09

RuneScape Massive Group Disconnect Glitch
February 25th, 2009

Basically if you typed µ (Alt 0181) into RuneScape, everyone who could view it would be kicked off the world. This would wok through public chat, private chat, clan chat or pretty much anything. The only way to avoid it was to go chat off.

I went around RS and as you can see everyone who was around me DC'd. Many people lost loads of money off disconnecting during combat.

The summoning tab only shows up when you have an npc summoned. And tell me a private server that has both the options to go up and down when you right click on a staircase. This can't be a private server. It has too many features that are RUNESCAPE only at the moment.

According to Runescape Wikipedia, this glitch was a real glitch that lasted few hours until jagex noticed and fixed it, they abused this glitch in alot of accosions like tzhaar fight pits and duel arena.. so people that are thinking they are smart and think that is impossible and for pirvateservers only, well guessed wrong ;P

@rj13106 people abused it in pvp and resulted in getting peoples d claws and other high cost items but most who abused it where tracked down probably by ip adresses and where perm banned

they wanted to say /do alt + m = µ for glitch but they forgot the / for talking in cc GF! PLOX i used it to down 4 claws 15 ags 3 dfs 1 bgs 12 fury ==) n they nver banned me this was a glitch because javascript couln't read µ so they errored and dced evryone who didnt had public off
