@AyeshaFatimahCooking We make rasam often to help with digestion, and particulary to help during cold season for BRAT diet. We don't add toor dal when cooking for BRAT diet. For a more aggressive digestion help, I recommend digestive enzymes from any store. We also regularly use 'Triphala' an ayurvedic pill made of 3 herbs availble online and in stores.

@AyeshaFatimahCooking Right down to my kids, we're all Hajmola fans. It's mild, but we do take digestive enzymes or Triphala which are more potent and helpful to the body.

@sunayverma I've grown up seeing all the ladies of my house swear by their cast iron cook ware. I use it personally, and for Indian cooking I feel it's ideal (high heat). One must have an idea as to how to cure it and how to maintain it. I personally feel that it's way better to use cast iron pots and pans than today's chemical coated non stick pans.
