This is a brief preview of Windows Media Center Extender over my G wireless network.

This is really one of the most underrated features of the XBox 360. If you already have an xbox and a desktop computer, you're probably just a tv tuner away from getting rid of your cable provider's DVR box.

This video was shot using my Canon SD780IS in 720p movie mode and the two shots were combined using Youtube's video editor.

  • who i can download this windows media center??

  • @thejonajonajona It's a built-in feature of Xbox 360 and Windows 7. The only way you might not have it is if you have Windows Vista Business edition or Windows Vista Home Basic. All other versions of Vista and 7 have it.

  • Hey, you use Wave Broadband! My channels are in the same exact place! I have some classified tips & tricks for you!

  • @thefalcon2k What are they?

  • What tv tunner do you use?

  • @SecondHandHunter Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250. I like it because it uses only one cable connection and can be any combination of 2 digital tuners, 2 analog tuners, or 1 digital tuner and one analog tuner. It just adjusts itself on the fly for your needs. I've had it a couple years so there might be better tuners out there, but this one has been a champ.

  • @reiththestud Oh, I almost forgot. Be careful on Sunday nights. Somebody likes to order porn.

  • @reiththestud If you look at all the channels between 110 & 115 (110.1, 110.2, etc. ... up to 115.10) ... those are "unprotected" On Demand channels. Anybody who orders On Demand content (music video, premium channel movie, pay-per-view, etc.) ... you can also get the signal for free. You will NOT be held liable for it because Wave Broadband is the one at fault for this. They just don't know me very well to actually come across Fast Five during a channel scan after a power outage.

  • @ShotGunInk The best place to put it would be in the Videos folder. But you can technically put them anywhere. In WMC, go to Settings > Media Libraries, and you can tell WMC where to find your videos, movies, music, and more. I use Windows Media Master to aggregate metadata for all of my shows. It's a very finnicky program and i recommend only scanning one show at a time until you're done. But it's really nice to have everything organized.

  • @reiththestud thanks one more question I have movies and TV shows downloaded from torrents that I have right now on my mac, which folder would i have to place them on to my PC to open them with windows media center thanks
