The Last Remnant - Holy Plains Dragon BR27

This is the minimal possible BR for the Holy Plains fight.

This was the longest fight up to now at 72 turns! From the start until the dragon you'll be constantly fighting around 7-8 unions at a time which makes the turns drag on for a long time too and these enemies are also pretty hard as there's alot of mages, once it's just the dragon left then there will be a large amount of reinforcements coming (about 10 unions in total) so you'll want to take them out before attacking the dragon.

I only recorded from the dragon because he's the main threat and the rest shouldn't be too problematic if you've got this far + it would be about 50 parts long XD

The dragon himself is very dangerous, his attacks do alot of damage and quite often 1 shot your unions and his breaths are even more dangerous as he uses them at the end of every 2 turns with the possibility to 1 shot your unions at full HP at this BR.

I made a few changes to my equipment and a small change to my union for this, i switched Ortia out of David's union for Guinn to give his union an extra healer as it only had the 1 (i was meant to do this after beating Anima XD)

For equipment my David took my Justice Wristlet and i equipped Rush with the Auld Splitter i got from Heaven's Lord which is a 1 handed weapon so i sub handed a Runesword lol, you could buy an Auld something for 340k which is almost as strong as the Auld Splitter but a fight after Holy Plains can net you a weapon even stronger for free and 340k is an hefty amount especially in a low BR game...I also bought 2 Manifer's for Rush which give +35% HP each giving him an extra 140 HP, these can be bought from Undelwalt for around 34k each, if your on a low BR playthrough then you should be able to afford these without farming.

i have only just started playing this game and its awesome lol but why do people not want to get there BR up i dont understand

People reckon it makes the game harder but i found it to get MUCH easier, it probably depends on how you set unions up and if you switch to different characters alot to affect stat growth.

Well i'm on an 86 chain so there's quite a few enemies to deal with but they stop eventually.

what is the easiest method to NOT rise your BR..because im kinda stuck in the first cd because my BR is way too high..i never watched these before so i didn't know its not wise to link as many as you can..what is the best choice for the first weapon and how long i should keep it

By doing forced fights only (It's possible to avoid all random battles) but if you need to grind then fight enemies with high HP 1 at a time to get the most out of stat/art skill ups, bandits are a good enemy for this but they take quite a while to spawn, look on gamefaqs[.]com for a detailed guide on it.

I think dual wield Dragonfly katana are the best you can get on disc 1 and they can also last until towards the end of disc 2, last remnant wikipedia should have info on how to obtain it.

Apparently bandits are good money but i've never tried them so don't know anything about them, another way which slowly increases BR is to fight glagonos at the entrance to darken forest, they drop multiple earrings that sell 1750 each (you can get like 10-15 from 1 fight with 2 links)

the best way i know off is in a dig point at the end of the 1st area of the aquaducts in the water by the steps, save the game then keep reloading until you get high chains full of i think it's mermaid stones which sell for quite a bit, it's still pretty slow and tedious so i wouldn't recommend it
