Waylon also wrote a little-known sequel to this song entitled Mamas Don't Let Your Baby-Daddies Be Cowboy's Either

Any recommendations from across the pond? As long as it's not that rap/hip hop with obscenities and violence in every line, I'm always open to new music!

Your right there!! You hit the nail on the head!! I'm just glad I have a very varied musical taste and not just into old country stuff! I'm lucky enough to be from the north of England where we have spawned some of the greatest ever music (just my opinion) and some of the new bands from round Manchester, Liverpool etc are really talented, both lyrically and musically! Not all this new chart shit that all sounds the same I.E.some talentless person sings verse and chorus with a rap in the middle!

You're not missing much with the new stuff. It's just pop music with a twang. Real country was the working man's blues music. It sang about drugs, sex, & alcohol way before Rock music started to.
