The UK entry at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1983.
Sweet Dreams - "I'm Never Giving Up"
A song that I've grown very fond of, optimistic and cheerful. Also possibly the best routine with stools that I've ever seen. The group consists of Bobby McVey, Carrie Grant and Helen Kray.
The group later changed their name to Dreams and accompanied a funkier style. Their 2nd single, "17 Electric", however, failed to chart, leading the group to disband. Carrie Grant is now a well-known vocal coach and producer, while Bobby McVey became a local radio presenter.

Listening to this now, I'm surprised the Glee cast haven't covered this one!! The UK doesn't do Eurovision entries like it used to!! Carrie Grant is someone I met at a recording of COMIC RELIEF DOES FAME ACADEMY in 2005 we were lucky to get audience tickets for, she is still hot now :-)

I think this song opened a new term in Eurovision history. Shows and stage presence started getting importance and this situation reached the summit in 2000's.

I believe the year of 1983 was one of the most competitive years for Eurovisions. all the songs sounded beautiful.. even the 17th place from Denmark .. :-) although the first place song from luxembourg isnt much of my favorite.. :-(
